Pat Nelson first started captioning in 1994. She and Cheri Benson opened Riverside Captioning Company in 1997 to meet the growing demand in captioning. RCC quickly expanded beyond its original mission of religious captioning, and now offers a full range of captioning options for its clients – covering offline and realtime, prerecorded and live broadcasts, from news to company meetings, religious programming, political debates and sporting events. It has expanded its services to offer transcription as well, supporting a variety of digital audio and video files, and flexible file transfer options.
