Riverside Captioning Company started as a result of Pat Nelson’s volunteer activities with religious institutions. She had noticed that while secular events were generally captioned, most religious events were not, depriving many followers of the opportunity to participate fully in the spiritual experience. Pat’s company had the expertise, knowledge and personal beliefs to fill the void. Since then, Riverside Captioning Company has helped an ever-growing number of churches, ministries and other religious organizations reach out not only to their deaf and hard of hearing constituencies, but also to the multitude of individuals for whom stadium events and other large gatherings create less than perfect acoustics.
