Helping the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Share Life Experiences
Riverside Captioning Company can caption anytime, anywhere, for any audience.
One method of live realtime captioning we excel at is CART, Communication Access Realtime Translation. CART is different from closed captioning because text does not appear over video.
CART is a form of captioning for non-broadcast settings, such as churches, meetings, and conferences. Riverside Captioning Company has the capability to provide CART both onsite and remotely. There are a number of different ways the captioning can be displayed; on a computer for a one-on-one setting, through an LCD projector, on an LED display for larger audiences, or over the Internet. The CART captioner uses a stenotype machine that converts shorthand into realtime captions. It happens so fast it is almost a simultaneous process. Riverside Captioning Company has been providing CART for the deaf and hard of hearing since 1994. It is where we got our start: Helping the deaf and hard of hearing partake of life experiences they could not fully appreciate otherwise.
